Lighter, Zippo, Black crackle
The famous windproof lighter, made in steel with a black crinkled paint finish. During the Second World War brass was not available, because all was needed for the army. Therefore Zippo produced a steel case lighter which had an uneven finish. To make them nicer looking a black coating was added that baked to this crackled finish.
