The gold swords pin we supply seperately, this can be added to the ribbon to create the version with gold swords (prick some holes in the ribbon first)
The order was founded in 1849 for special merit within diplomatic, civil, and military service
the Knight’s Cross was added in 1901
In 1914 it was decided to exchange the ribbon with this Military Merit Cross ribbon
The Order was dissolved 1919
